Lessingianthus magnificus Deble, Dematteis & Marchiori (Asteraceae), nova espécie do Uruguai e Rio Grande do Sul (Brasil)
Abstract: A new species of Asteraceae is presently described and illustrated: Lessingianthus magnificus Deble, Dematteis & Marchiori, from the State of Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil) and northern Uruguay. Close to Lessingianthus macrocephalus (Less.) H. Rob., it differs by the type of hairs of the leaves, as well as by obtuse and dense lanate involucral bracteis. Notas para o gênero Baccharis L. (Asteraceae-Astereae) no Brasil
Abstract: A new name – Baccharis grazielae An. S. de Oliveira & Deble – is given to Baccharis dusenii G. M. Barroso, because it is illegitimate, and Baccharis rufidula Sch.-Bip. ex Baker is reduced to a variety of Baccharis brachylaenoides DC. The synonymity and comments about these species are furnished. O gênero Baccharis Linnaeus, seção Oblongifoliae DC. (Asteraceae-Astereae), no sul do Brasil
Abstract: A taxonomic study of the genus Baccharis L., section Oblongifoliae DC., is presently realized to southern Brazil. Three species and one variety were recognized: Baccharis brachylaenoides DC. var. brachylaenoides, B. brachylaenoides DC. var. rufidula (Sch.-Bip. ex Baker) An. S. de Oliveira & Deble, B. nebulae Malag. & Hatschbach ex An. S. de Oliveira e B. vismioides DC. All species are described, illustrated and segregated in a dichotomous key. Key-words: Baccharis, section Oblongifoliae, Asteraceae, southern brazilian flora.

Anatomia da madeira de Azara uruguayensis (Speg.) Sleum.
Abstract: The wood anatomy of Azara uruguayensis (Speg.) Sleum. is described and illustrated with photomicrographs. Anatomia comparativa da madeira de quatro espécies da subtribo Baccharinae Lessing (Asteraceae-Astereae)
Abstract:The present work deals with the wood anatomy of Heterothalamus alienus (Sprengel) O. Kuntze, Heterothalamus psiadioides Lessing, Heterothalamus rupestris Deble, Oliveira & Marchiori and Heterothalamulopis wagenitzii (Hellwig) Deble, Oliveira & Marchiori. The four species showed small vessels in dendritic pattern, only simple perforation plates and paratraqueal parenchyma. The presence of storied structure, of spiral thickenings in vessel walls, as well as the abundance of axial parenchyma and the morphology of radial cells served in a dichotomous key to set apart the distinct species.
