Sailer Santos dos Santos

Born in São Sepé, city located in the central region of the state of Rio Grande do Sul. Member of the group since March 2002, when began his scientific initiation, working with compounds derived from organylchalcogenides of mercury(II) under the supervision of prof. Lang. Tooh his degree in Industrial Chemistry (2004/UFSM) and his Masters from 2005 to 2007, developing a systematic study on the chemistry of coordination compounds of tellurium(IV) with this element as cation and anion simultaneously. In March 2007, started the PhD, investigating, primarily, the chemistry of metal complexes involving ligands with sites of coordination with different electronic characteristics.

His main area of interest is the structural determination of tellurium based compounds by single crystal X-ray diffraction.
