Juliano Menezes Rosa de Vicenti

Born in Santiago-RS, graduated in Industrial Chemistry at University of Santa Cruz do Sul (UNISC) in 2005. He worked with processes of synthesis, extraction, purification and characterisation of methyl or ethyl esters obtained from castor oil. He also studyed industrial microbiology and fermentation with emphasis on development of methodologies to obtain microbial lipases for use in biocatalytic processes. Member of LMI since 2006, when started his master\'s thesis, studying the complex containing the ligand phenylseleninate with alkaline and alkaline earth metals, characterizing these new coordination polymers through various instrumental techniques, especially the single crystal X-ray diffraction. Currently, he is carrying out his research in the Ph.D. primarily on possible changes that may be made in the acid molecule phenilseleninic for the development of new pre-ligands.
