Studying at UFSM

Undergraduate Students

The steps you need to take when you decide you want to study at Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM) are:

1. Go to the International Relations Office of your Home University and express your interest in being an exchange student at UFSM. They will send us your application (Registration Form and suporting documents).
2. Once you are accepted at UFSM and receive the acceptance letter, you can apply for the Brazilian student visa.

The deadline to apply for the period of studies from March to July (1st semester) is January 25.
And the deadline to apply for the period of studies from August to December (2nd semester)is June 10.

Buddy Program

This program aims to integrate international students with the college community, therefore local UFSM students help them on their adaptation and institutional processes.

If you would like to have a Buddy inform this on your Registration Form.
