Professional Background

CNPq Research Fellow in Brazil

He has graduate degree in Biological Sciences and PhD level by the Parana Federal University at Curitiba, Brazil. Currently he is professor of the Santa Maria Federal University, southern Brazil, with lectures in Vertebrate Zoology and Animal Behaviour. He is editor of the book "The Marsupials of Brazil" (2006 and 2012), besides working as reviewer of national and international journals in the areas of Mammalogy, Zoology, Ecology, and Biogeography. He has several scientific publications in the areas of mammal ecology, biogeography and environmental conservation. He was a postdoctoral fellow in Italy, University of Naples, during 2012 and 2013, working with geometric morphometrics of Primates. Currently, he is giving emphasis to evolutionary and macroecological processes in his research.
